Product Description
Microtech L.U.D.T. Gen III — Premium Performance, Modern Engineering
The Microtech L.U.D.T. Gen III is the latest evolution of the knife that started it all. Originally designed for the Navy’s Large Underwater Demolition Teams, the first‑generation UDT was built to fire reliably even underwater. More than twenty years later, the Gen III brings that legacy forward with refined engineering, upgraded materials, and a noticeably smoother, more confident action.
The Gen III introduces several subtle but meaningful enhancements: updated styling, new inlay options, standard Torx hardware for easy maintenance, and—its standout upgrade—an ultra‑smooth silica carbide ball‑bearing pivot that delivers rock‑solid, glassy deployment.
This is also the first Microtech automatic to feature Böhler M390MK, Microtech’s proprietary super steel engineered for improved edge retention over traditional M390. It stays razor‑sharp longer, resists wear, and performs exceptionally in daily use.
If you’re looking for a premium automatic knife that fires hard, carries comfortably, and holds its edge, the L.U.D.T. Gen III is built to exceed expectations.
